About Divorce SEO

I'm Christopher Ross. I've been building things on the web since 1996, and these days the focus is helping people get found by the customers and clients who are already looking for them.
Let me be straight about something up front, because a site like this usually opens with a story and I do not have one. I am not an attorney, I am not a mediator, and I have no personal history with family law. Nobody in this business needs another vendor claiming they understand what your clients are going through. I am the marketing and web guy. That is the whole job title.
What I actually do
What I do understand is the person at the other end of the search, because that person behaves like every other anxious, time-pressured searcher I have watched for thirty years, and they behave that way in every industry I have ever worked in. They search late. They search on a phone. They search with someone else in the room sometimes, and they clear the history afterward. They will not click through five websites. They read the three results on the map, they scan a few review lines, and they make a shortlist before they ever speak to a human being. That behavior has a shape, and the shape is what I work on.
The other half is craft. A Google Business Profile filed under the wrong category is not eligible for searches it should win. Two listings for one office split the signal. A suite number that appears on the website and not on the profile makes Google hedge about where you are. None of that requires knowing family law. It requires somebody willing to sit with a listing for a couple of days and get it right, the way you would want a tradesperson to sit with a wiring problem instead of guessing at the breaker.
My larger consulting work, universities, media companies and government teams, runs under my own name at thisismyurl.com, the practice I have built over three decades and priced for that scale of project. Divorce SEO is a separate practice, built specifically for family law firms: the same craft, a fixed price sized to what a small practice actually needs, three sizes from $1,200, one payment each. What I set up belongs to the firm at every size. See what each size includes.
Same person, same standards, different job.
Where the line is
One line I will hold to on every project. Advertising rules for lawyers vary by state and province, and they are your bar's call rather than mine. I work on the mechanics: categories, duplicates, directories, hours, review plumbing, measurement. Anything where the question is really "are we permitted to say this" goes to your own bar counsel before it goes live, and I will tell you when we have crossed that line rather than quietly writing something and hoping.
If the practice also needs a website built or rebuilt, DivorceWebDesigner.com is the sister site for that, run by the same person.
